If you live in Oregon or anywhere else with 9 months of rainy season, you definitely know the pale pasty color we all end up come May. So! To remedy this I purchased Bondi Sands 1hr Express Self Tanning Foam. I've always been a huge Tammy Hembrow fan, so when she started singing praise of this 1hr self tanner, I had to give it a try. I bought the 1hr Express Foam, along with an applicator mitt so I could see exactly how good this self tanner really was.

I ordered it on a Thursday, and it shipped UPS and was delivered ahead of schedule on the next Wednesday morning. My total was $33, including a $5 shipping cost, all in all I thought the pricing was pretty fair considering all the celeb endorsements.

Day Of Use:
1. I took a shower when I got off work, washing my hair and exfoliating my whole body thoroughly. I also shaved my legs, as recommended, but found that after applying the product, the shaved part of my legs looked severely razor burned (just from the tan getting absorbed into the hair follicles), so next time I use this product, I wont be shaving my legs immediately before applying.
2. After my shower, I applied my usual products to my hair, but instead of leaving it down to air dry, I tied it up in a bun so that it didn't leave my shoulders and back damp. I applied a little moisturizer to my face, elbows, knees, and ankles because I didn't want those areas to absorb too much tan and get too dark.
3. I waited about 1.5 hours after showering to begin to apply the tan, just so that my skin could fully dry, and my pores could close up as much as possible.
4. To apply the tan, stand in front of a mirror to make sure you don't miss any spots, and to check for streaks. Using a Bondi Sands applicator mitt, apply a generous amount first to your calves in long strokes, and then blend all together. Move on to your thighs, arms, and stomach and back area (I had Oliver apply it to my back, but with a little finagling, it is possible to do your own back, just be sure to check in the mirror often to ensure sure it's all even).
5. For your neck and facial area, it is even more important to have the product applied evenly. You can use a beauty blender if you're really proficient with one (I'm not), or you can just use your applicator mitt carefully. I used a little less product on my face, hands, and feet, and made sure to even it out as much as possible.
6. After finishing the application process, quadruple check that you've covered everywhere and that there are no streaks or smudges. Put on a loose, dark, dress or big T-Shirt, and try to avoid rubbing up against anything (sitting or sleeping is fine, just try to keep it mellow). I left mine on overnight to see how dark it could really be, but there is a color timetable on the bottle so leave it on for your desired color.
7. All in all, I thought the product was really good; it didn't get quite as dark as I was hoping for, but applied very nicely and I had no streaks or smudges!
